  My experience might be unique because I was ordering Ashley furniture through Blackhurst and not getting carpet or anything else they had on hand. The furniture we ordered was on back order from Ashley, but Blackhurst did a bad job at communicating the timeline to us. They said it would be a few weeks, but it ended up close to a few months. We ordered in late September and got the last piece around Christmas time. Blackhurst never gave us updates unless we called or emailed them and specifically asked for updates. Only reason this review is 3 stars instead of lower is because the price through Blackhurst was 15% cheaper than ordering directly through Ashley.

  I was referred to Blackhurst by a designer and they had a good selection of carpet. It took 2-3 weeks to get the carpet ordered in and installed and it was installed improperly. I tried to explain the problem several times to several different people and was blamed for the mistake. The receptionist was rude and defensive (just the same as Charlie's review below). When I called a few months later to pay full price a second time to get the carpet re-installed properly I was treated rudely AGAIN and no one could or would answer my questions about ordering or installing. I can't recommend this store. My designer was surprised I was treated this way as she's had good experiences there, but I won't ever give them my business again. I would say they are fine if nothing goes awry, but if they cause any problems, you won't get it fixed, get a discount, or get treated kindly.

  I have made several significant purchases from Blackhurst over the past 13 years. Every time they have provided pleasant valuable assistance and the products have been very dependable quality. The only concern I have is that once after the sale completed they were painfully slow to respond.
